WASHINGTON - Delta Airlines is testing facial recognition software that would allow passengers to use a self-service kiosk to check bags.
In a press release published Monday, Delta announced they'll test the technology at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport this summer.
The $600,000 investment "allows customers to quickly, securely and easily check their own bags."
Delta says the new move will help keep lobby areas less congested and keep customers happy.
The company will be taking feedback from the testing site to see how they'll implement it in airports across the states.
