The women's squad is coming off a .500 (15-15) overall, .556 (10-8) conference 2018-19 season campaign. They were eliminated from the Horizon League Tournament by Youngstown State in the first round of play. Off to a rocky start in 2019, they stand at 4-10 overall, winless in 6 games on the road. In her eighth season at the helm, Coach Kyle Rechlicz is the seventh head coach in program history and came to Milwaukee from the University of Wisconsin, where she served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Badgers for the 2011-12 campaign. Despite the slow start this season, Coach Rechlicz has successfully righted the ship for the program and made Milwaukee a force to be reckoned with in recent years.
The men's team is looking to improve on a .290 (9-22) overall, .222 (6-8) conference showing during the 2018-19 campaign. The Panthers failed to get a bid in the Horizon League Tournament. In 2019, they hold a 7-9 overall record, also looking for their first win on the road. Pat Baldwin is currently in his third season as head coach. He joined the program in June of 2017, heading to Milwaukee from his alma mater, Northwestern University, where he spent four seasons as an assistant coach. Coach Baldwin became the seventh head coach since Milwaukee's 1990 move to NCAA Division I. He looks to continue to grow in his position and help the Panthers pounce on their way to prominence in the Horizon League.
