The Olympic Speedskating Trials returned to Milwaukee this week after a 20 year absence. The trials started on Tuesday and continue through Sunday at the Petit Center. Milwaukee lost the honor of hosting the Trials after the opening of the Utah Olympic Oval. Olympic hopefuls from all over the world are here to compete for a chance to make Team USA. Hopes are high that this year Team USA will medal in long-track speedskating events. The team failed to win a medal at the Sochi games in 2014. This year's Winter Olympic Games run from February 9-25.

This is your chance to see Olympic quality speedskating right here in Milwaukee.

Here's a list of events still yet to happen:

Friday, January 5th it's the Men and Women's 500 meter races. They run from 3 pm and 7 pm at the Center.

Saturday, January 6th it's the Men and Women's 1500 meter races. They run from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Center

Sunday, January 7th it's the Men and Women Mass Start. Those races go from 4:55 pm to 5:30 pm at the Center.

Tickets are still available. Contact the Petit National Ice Center.
