Week 2 of the 2016 season of Badger Max Thursday Night Lights presented by Northwest Surgery Center saw the Classic 8's Mukwonago Indians clash with the Southeast Conference's Oak Creek Knights on Thursday, August 25th. A lively crowd filled the stands on a beautiful night for football as Mayor Stephen Scaffidi dropped by to support his blossoming community and cheer on the blue & white.
Both teams' defensive units started strong, with Mukwonago finding the end zone first at the start of the second quarter with a 31-yard run. Oak Creek rallied with three unanswered scoring drives in a dominating Q2 performance starting with a 1-yard QB keeper, followed by a 46-yard TD run and 24-yard TD pass to break the game open and take a commanding 21-7 lead into halftime. A 40-yard field goal attempt for the Indians in the third hit the upright, and was the most the offense could muster in the second half. The Knights added a 31-yard TD pass to take a 27-7 lead in Q3, which would be the final as they marched to victory. FINAL SCORE: Oak Creek Knights 27 - Mukwonago Indians 7
