The Salvation Army Partners with My24 Sports for TNL Season-Long Food Drive

The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County is on a mission to help cure hunger daily by providing nutritious meals to anyone in need, and they need our help. My24 Sports is proud to partner with the Salvation Army on another year of Heiser Automotive Group Thursday Night Lights presented by U.S. Cellular featuring a season long food drive at all nine area high schools featured in this season's schedule.

Each night in the United States, 17.4 million families go to bed hungry. Another 6.9 million don't always know where their next meal is coming from. Community food drives like this one help supplement The Salvation Army's achievement of providing over 56 million meals via Food Pantries, Meal Programs, and Community Gardens. Fans of the 18 teams that will be featured over the 9 week season of broadcasts are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the game sites throughout the season starting on Thursday, August 16th at Hart Park in Wauwatosa.

All donations are very much appreciated, as My24 Sports and Salvation Army representatives will be on hand to collect food barrels each night. The Salvation Army will collect all of the season's total donations and distribute right back into the local communities.

As noted on their website:

The Salvation Army helps cure hunger daily by providing nutritious meals to anyone in need. This includes homeless people of all ages, as well as individuals and families who may be down on their luck and in need of some extra assistance. In addition to addressing the immediate symptoms of food insecurity, our programs are designed to help identify and treat its root cause. Over time, this holistic approach to the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of each person helps move many from "hungry" to "fully healed."

Hunger is Curable. You can Help. Join in the fight against hunger by donating at the following games:
