Meet CW18 & My24 Stars of Past & Present at Wizard World Chicago August 23-26th

Wizard World, Inc. is celebrating its 20th Anniversary of the first Wizard World Comic Con Chicago by uniting comics fans, entertainment fandoms, cosplayers, gamers, and pop culture enthusiasts for another epic weekend August 23rd - 26th in Rosemont, Illinois.

The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center will be brimming with fans of all ages as they flock to meet stars of their favorite shows and movies, speak with the artists that bring their favorite books and projects to life, experience Q & A panels with their idols, and more. Wizard World Comic Con Chicago features non-stop live entertainment, gaming, screenings, and interaction with vendors and artists offering products representing the best of the comics and pop culture world.


Joining the esteemed list of celebrities and special guests this weekend are faces sure to be familiar to fans of CW18 & My24 programming of past and present. The Waverider is making a stop in Rosemont, as newly minted DC's Legends of Tomorrow series regular Matt Ryan aka John Constantine is appearing on the show floor Saturday and Sunday. His interactive Q & A session is scheduled for Friday at 4:30pm.

Reuniting at the event and on stage are what some would call the granddaddies of the current CW Arrowverse. Smallville's Clark Kent and Lex Luthor, Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum, will pose for pictures and sign autographs, as well as partake in a Smallville themed group session Sunday at 1pm.

The Vampire Diaries' Damon Salvatore himself, Ian Somerhalder, sinks his teeth into the fun on Saturday, August 25th. His interactive Q & A panel with fans takes place that afternoon at 2pm.

The truth is out there, and this weekend the dynamic duo of Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully from The X-Files will be seeking it out in Rosemont. David Duchovny is appearing Saturday only, while Gillian Anderson will be available on Saturday and Sunday. They will share the stage for a group session Q & A Saturday at 5:15pm.

OG legacy stars from the days of The CW's predecessor, The WB, are also representing this weekend at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago. Get a history lesson on the source series before this fall's reboot of Charmed debuts on CW18 Sundays with original stars Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause, both appearing Friday-Sunday. The Charmed tandem will share the Q & A stage Friday at 2pm. Finally, meet Buffy the Vampire Slayer & spin-off series Angel star Charisma Carpenter Friday-Sunday. She, along with Holly Marie Combs, will be representing in the Women of Pop Culture Panel, Saturday at 11:30am.

These stars are just a small sample of the celebrity roster that will be making the trip to the Windy City this weekend. Other highlights include Ernie Hudson and filmmaker Ivan Reitman of Ghostbusters fame, Michael Rooker and Pom Klementieff of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers franchise fame, a Boy Meets World reunion, cast members from Outlander, and some of the biggest names from the Professional Wrestling circuits.



The 10th event scheduled on the 2018 Wizard World calendar, Chicago show hours are Thursday, August 23, 4-9 p.m.; Friday, August 24, noon-7 p.m.; Saturday, August 25, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, August 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Kids 10 and under are admitted free with paid adult. There is so much happening this weekend, we've barely scratched the surface! So what are you waiting for?!
